I now know a life without aches and pains

In Claire's first week, due to pain, we started very light. We started at a weight where she felt safe, but it still brought on many hesitations. Living with pain is horrible. There are days where one can feel great and the next they are barely able to lift appendages because they over did it.  We never wanted to be in that category. With proper training it can be avoided. After Years of pain Claire didn't believe she could truly live without pain. It has been a true gift to see Claire go from uncomfortably benching 25lbs to confidently knocking out 125lbs.

"I found out about Amazing 12 through Facebook.  I met with Alydia and decided I wanted to try this program.  I committed on the spot.  I have always been knowledgeable about Nutrition since I have a degree in Dietetics but over the past 15 years, I have had many injuries that have packed on the pounds and decreased my confidence in pushing myself with my workouts.  I wanted a personal trainer that would listen to me and adjust my workout to accommodate my injuries/pain.  Alydia was awesome from Day 1.  She adjusted my daily workouts by analyzing my techniques, tweaking my form and changing the exercise if needed.  I still progressed and made major gains in my abilities and the weights I could lift.  Today I am PAIN FREE.  I think I need to say that again…Today I am PAIN FREE.  I had rotator cuff surgery 3 years ago, I have had 2 epidural steroid shots for lower back pain, a shot in my left hip for pain and recovered from a broken toe and a broken foot in the last 15 years.  To be pain free today and know I can do everyday activities and go back to the more challenging activities I love to do is PRICELESS!

From Couch Potato to Something Fierce.

Wendy was no stranger to the gym or exercising. She’s tried just about everything in town so I was excited to see what we could do in 12 weeks.

Wendy’s lifts were astronomical in gains, not just that the further through Amazing 12 she got the less she felt her agonizing back pain.

Wendy Got a chin up on week 11 for the first time in years.

 

Wendy lost a total of 11.4 lbs and 8.6 inches.

 

I could be more proud of Wendy’s accomplishments over the last 12 weeks and I can’t wait to see what this next season brings for her! Here is what she had to say:

  "In the winter of 2015 I broke my ankle and went from an active lifestyle to couch potato. I found that long after my injury healed,  I remained unmotivated and unsuccessful in developing a fitness routine. Signing up for Amazing 12 was my own self-applied kick in the behind to getting myself back into physical activity.  The program has exceeded my own expectations for gains in strength and cardio.  It's truly been amazing to see the changes in my body and steady gains in lifting.  I also have a history of back injury and occasional flair ups of  pain  Alydia has taught me so much on proper technique and how to protect my back from injury. She researched and modified to allow me to continue to succeed but with the number one focus to not cause pain or further injury."

Erin's Transformation

First up for the most recent graduates of Amazing 12 is Erin Cardea! Erin is one of the most hard working and persistent clients I've ever worked with and you can see it from her results. Many people ask what happens after Amazing 12, for Erin it was another round. In Erin's second round she was able to incline bench 45lbs and she conquered her first chin up. I think what was my favorite part of watching Erin's transformation was what happened with her newly found exude confidence. She told me on her last training day that she didn't believe she could look or feel so good again! To me hearing her say that was the reminder of why I do what I do. She started coming in wearing bright colored form fitting shirts and wore them proud! I'm so excited for her as she starts this new professional journey and continues on her way towards health and vitality.

"I had no hesitation signing up for a second round of the Amazing 12 program. After my initial 12 weeks, I noticed so much personal growth and had developed cooking and eating habits that were far superior to anything I had done previously. So, another round? Yes, please! The nutrition aspect has become second nature, so this time I was really focused on my strength gains and what I was able to accomplish with the weights. I wanted my after pictures to show what I was feeling this time. Alydia diligently increased or adjusted my weights as needed and by the end I couldn’t believe how much I was doing, especially with the incline press. When I had a setback early on, she was able to coach me through and get me back on track safely and progressively. Her eye is always on our form and she is able to come up with ways to improve it or have us concentrate on it - for me, I worked in my own corner away from distractions :)

I feel better, have more energy, and can tell that my muscles are being properly developed. My clothes are all too big now (that is not a complaint!) and I feel confident wearing things that are more form-fitting – they are actually flattering now! For anyone who is serious about improving their health, fitness, and general well-being as well as their self-confidence and self-image, the Amazing 12 can help achieve that.

The group of people I saw every morning who were on this journey with me were a huge factor in my success. To have the accountability of a small group and to support each other through all the sweat, blood, and yes, sometimes tears, really made the program enjoyable. Following my final workout, I moved out of state for a new job, but I am sure I will carry on with the habits I’ve formed over the past 6 months. I can’t thank Alydia enough for pushing me when I needed it, having faith in me when I didn’t, and for being so encouraging and knowledgable."
